About

I am a retired physician with a lifelong interest and passion for photography. The majority of my images are black and white and only occasionally do I do color photography. Except for the color images, I do all my own printing,. The majority of my prints are platinum, platinum-palladium, or carbon transfer made using contact printing from digital negatives. I use a variety of heavy-weight fine art papers including Hahnemuhle Platinum Rag, Berrger COT320, and Arches Platine. The carbon prints are made with externally hand-sized paper (using acrylic medium); by modifying the amount of pigment (India Ink or carbon black) and the photosensitizer (ammonium dichromate), the prints have a physical depth to them that makes them unique. This means that each print may be slightly different and that the number of prints I make of each image is extremely limited. Finally, I also shoot large format (4x5) black and white film. I also do my own framing, using black matte metal frames.

For anyone who might wish to purchase a print - available in either 8 x 10 or 11 x 14 sizes and either framed or unframed - please contact me via the “Contact” link above. All black and white prints will be made to order and are one of a kind. Prints of color images are also available printed on Hahnemühle Fine Art Baryta papers.
